Well, in my case let me tell you what a chwall is.
First of all, I understand that “chwall” is not really a word bu
t solely a name given to the new addition to my house.
This Spring Break one of the groups left this huge box of sidewalk chalk. I did not really know what to do with it but it has been put to good use. Rachel Aldridge had brought back some stuff from the last time she went to the United States that I really wanted to try. It is this paint that supposedly works as a chalk board when painted on the wall. Well, she did not buy a lot and I was extremely skeptical of how it would work. Well, when I saw this sidewalk chalk I really wanted to try this stuff.
So, I put up about a 2’x 3’ rectangle, followed the instructions and tested it out. IT WORKED!!! Not only did it work but I realized that it is nothing more than regular acrylic paint, of which we had some lying around.
I took the paint, painted the entire wall of my extra room a
nd created “the chwall”. You can decide for yourself why that is the name but it has a few different possibilities.
The ChWall has many purposes.
- It is great fun.
- It is a great way to brainstorm on things that we are doing.
- It is a great teaching tool.
- The kids love it. They love playing on it, just drawing things and having fun.
Not that it was a struggle to get kids to come over to the house ever before but I am always looking for new ways to keep them involved. The ChWall serves a great purpose in teaching these kids so many things. We have had so much fun and it has been a great way for us to get to know each other even better.
I am really excited about how God can use the ChWall. That might sound silly but I am a firm believer that God can and does work through our everyday lives and that he opens up doors for us using things that we might never expect.

Thank you for just being you. To a lot of people being thankful for a “chwall” might sound really silly but I am excited about the possibilities of what you can do through such a simple thing.
